Waiver Information

The ECL Academic Committee wishes to see students who have demonstrated outstanding performance in past examinations and IELTS/TOFEL or similar English language tests. We may allow full tuition fee waiver and 300 stipend pcm in the following cases for students who have:

1. Achieved outstanding results (between 80-90 percent or above in all modules) in secondary and higher secondary levels and IELTS overall band score 7, with minimum score of 5.5 in individual sections

2. Scored at least 55 and above in five modules in year one and year two with the University of London and applied for year three with ECL who has got IELTS band score 7 and with no section carrying below 5.5

3. Scored at least 55 and above in four modules in year one with the University of London and applied for year two with ECL who has got IELTS band score 7 and with no section carrying below 5.5

4.In all cases students must maintain 95% attendance throughout the academic year and must not fail in any module.

Applications dead line

The ECL Academic Committee will consider the applicants on a first come first serve basis. All applications are to be submitted at least four months prior to 1st September of the year of study commencement. ECL will not consider any application after 1st May of the same year.

ECL will allow a total of fourteen fee waivers and stipends in the 2014-15 session based on geographic location from all over the world, two from each continent. Half waiver of tuition fee:

The ECL Academic Committee may award 50% waiver of tuition fee based on academic merit, need of the family, achievement in extracurricular activities (sports, culture, and innovation). The total number of awards will not be more than ten in the 2014-15 academic year.

The ECL Academic Committee will be pleased to award two current students as Students of the Year and allow them half waiver of tuition fee for next academic year or cash back if the award winner is in her/his final year of study.

It was decided that to be eligible for the Student of the year the selection criteria are as follows:

1. Attendance 95%
2. 100% attendance in all mock exams and
3. Awarding body exam performance and pass all the modules

Incentives for existing students

1. ECL students will be entitled to claim 5% of the fee adjustment in the following year if they maintain a 95% attendance through out the academic year or cash back if they maintain it in final year of study.
2. ECL students will be entitled to claim 5% of the fee adjustment in the following year if they achieve distinction marks with awarding body exam in a minimum of three modules in one sitting and no fail. Students can claim cash back if they achieve this result in their final year of study.
3. ECL students can claim 5% of the tuition fee adjustment or cash back if they achieve 60% in a minimum five modules and complete their Bachelor Degree in three years.
